USER MANUAL & PRODUCT INFORMATION

I know, nah I will figure it out myself ;-) the Omnifixo is full of features and I don't want you to miss any, so please give me 20 sec.

LOW MODE

Helpful when you need a low working height and/or want to hold an object like a PCB horizontally under a microscope.

ULTRA PRECISE MODE AND SWITCH

For ultra precise work the "magnet upside down" provides less friction to the ball joint and thereby even increased precision.

The magnetic foot also works like an electrical switch. Upside down it will connect the clamp to the surface it is attached to. If it is positioned on the etched "ring" on the base plate it is possible to measure or feed power through the base by connecting to the etched oval on the base plate (internal resistance ~5 Ohm).

LEAN BACK MODE

In this position the clamp can carry a lot of weight and the slider is parallel to the base and the jaws are vertical.

CONNECT

It is possible to attach a 6,3x0,8 mm (old car standard) cable lug to the clip if you need to feed, ground or measure something.

PIN HOLE
In the neck of the upper jaw there is a hole, the purpose of that is to be able to securely hold a pin (max 1mm) if you need to manipulate something small.

THE FIELD BOX

The field box has slots for the base so it can be used as a vertical stand.

INSERT

Those slots can also be used to fit separators, files to print below insert are available here :  https://makerworld.com/en/models/677236 or at the Omnifixo Printables channel. You could also cut separators from 1mm plastic or paper (distance between slots : 80 mm, 89mm and 159mm, the height is 10mm).

 OTHER TIPS AND TRIX

# It is possible to adjust the friction of the ball joint slightly, see here omnifixo.com/blogs/news/friction-adjustment

# The holes and slots on the base are there to allow fixation of accessories or modifications.

# When soldering cables or heat sensitive objects it is often better to remove the silicone sleeves on the jaws to increase the heat transport away from the part.

# If you get magnetic particles attached to the magnet the easiest way is to remove those is to use a piece of adhesive tape.

    CAUTION

Don't heat up the feet/magnets  (e.g. put the product in a reflow oven) ABS plastics will melt and the magnets will be demagnetized.

The product is a tool and not a toy so keep away from small children, contains small small parts and magnets.
